you may laugh at this. But if you have Italian background you will like a Greek-Italian type restaurant called Costa s. Trust me and try it. I know an Italian couple and they loved it. The husband is Italian and does all the Italian cooking at home and he does such a wonderful job.

The best around without a boubt is Muffalettas in Bessemer! Not much on atmosphere or size but the food is out of this world. The have a buffet every day for 10 bucks and do everything from potato lasagna, cheese raviolli, pizza and you guessed it.........muffaletta sandwiches! The are owned by Papa Joa Vacha(s?)..........
simply the best IMO.............many people don't even know about the place.
It is sandwiched betweem Sherwin Williams and KFC and just down the street from Bob Sykes BBQ!

Oh, you asked where we would be living. We just bought a home in Odenville, off Argo/Margaret Road. So very excited about that.
If you live in Odenville, then you need to go to Sal's Italian Restaurant in Springville. The food and service are excellent.

Then you are close to my second favorite place.........Sals, just off the Springville exit where the Wal-Mart is.............it is very good also!

Wow. Thank you all very much. We should be there in the next week or so.
Can't wait to try them.
Where my husband grew up in Rochester NY there are a ton of Italian (of course) and Greek and Greek/Italian Restaurants.
They have the best food up there.
Thanks for all the input, I know you will make my VERY Italian husband happy.

Well, it will be an adjustment for him, so be prepared. However, these restaurants oughta make him a good deal happier anyway.

Yeah, I know, it will most definitely be an adjustment LOL. He isn't worried about much except being able to get good bread (which I don't make) and the Italian food stuff (which I do make).
