Default Irish Birmingham - Hurling

I was just wondering if anybody on here thought that there would be anybody in the Birmingham area that would be interested in getting the Irish sport of hurling off the ground in Alabama. I am based in Atlanta myself, and I am looking for ways to help new clubs start around the south.

People hurl down around 5 Points and Lakeview every night. But you don't really have to be Irish to drink that much. That's a myth.

OP, if you're serious, you might google some Irish heritage clubs and see if they would be interested. If they wouldn't, then you can bet that so few people are familiar with it that there would not be adequate interest.

Well, it would need somebody to head it up, but cities like Milwaukee and St. Louis have shown that Americans love this sport and can develop it in their cities with little or no Irish involvement.
