Default Homewood School District?

Tell me what you think?

I am looking to relocate to Alabama this spring. I have called around to some apartment complexes and was very interested in one in the Homewood area. I called the Homewood School district to find out which school my 2 children would attend. I was asked the address where I would be living, and then told (rather rudely) that the address was a Birmingham school district. I was told to call them. When I called them they checked the address, I was told that it was a Homewood school district. I got the impression from the conversation that the Homewood school district may have some issues with the race of the children that attend there. I wonder if that is the case. Does any african americans out there have children in the homewood school district? if so, where, and what do you think is going on.

I'm not sure why that happened, because Homewood is reasonably integrated. Perhaps you should call back and double check matters. Maybe you just called the wrong person. After all, it's the first day of classes after Winter Break. Maybe they're just a bit harried.
