Check out this website.

You should check out Trussville, Alabama and Irondale, Alabama
Trussville is a fun growing city outside Birmingham. From we I here Irondale has a good school system ( http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7723397/site/newsweek/ ). Irondale is a city outside of Birmingham. Don't know about Trussville school. But there are a lot of parents that are taking their kids out of Birmingham city schools and going to other schools. Just Google City of Trussville, City of Irondale, and schools in Birmingham. Trusssville and Irondale is in Jefferson County and is little closer to Lincoln than the city Birmingham.

To fatima5778:

I think you will be pleasantly surprized at the growth, good schools, universities and good medical facilities in Birmingham. UAB (University of Alabama) in located in downtown Birmingham and is world-known for it's education and in the medical field with the UAB hospital and adjunct Kirkland Clinic that has some of the best doctors in the world. One of the schools in Jefferson County was recognized as the top ranking schools this past year in academics. I don't have any children in school now since they are grown.
Welcome to the Birmingham, AL area.

I really think you will be pleasantly surprized at the education of the schools in Jefferson County and surrounding areas. Jefferson County had a school that was recently rated as one of the top schools academically. We have a world re-known UAB (University of Alabama) where medical students are trained in every field. We have some of the best doctors in the world at UAB hospital and the Kirkland Clinic in downtown Birmingham. There are numerous things to do in Birmingham. Welcome.
