It's kind of dead right now, simply because growth hasn't caught up with existing inventory. In the future, I'm fairly confident the Oxmoor Valley will prove hot.

Not trying to be a hypocrit.......why is Huntsville basically the only city who is doing fair in the economy in this state?

Well, the reason for that is the Base Realignment, where a lot of bases around the country were closed, so personnel and resources were shifted to a number of bases around the country. Huntsville was a huge beneficiary of BRAC. So its growth, while impressive, is pretty much a one-time shot, particularly if an Obama presidency cuts back on defense and the space program.

I've been nervously researching information on this issue. From what I see, Obama will not cut back on defense and the space program. He wants to help the space program. His advisor said that he won't cut defense.

Birmingham, Mobile, and Montgomery are all doing fine. Of course, with the national economy, things are changing.

I'm glad that Alabama is doing fine in the economy. Since Alabama is a hotspot for jobs in the economy, why is Alabama growing at a slower rate than South Carolina, which is laying off more people than alot of states?
