Keep East Lake Weird
Calling all artists, musicians, poets, prose, and liberal thinkers to relocate and create our own Art’s District here in the shadows of Birmingham. East Lake is primed with truly affordable dwellings and apartments to relocate into. Some houses are between 20-80k and are ripe for the picking. There is a downtown East Lake area on 1st Avenue North and Oporto-Madrid that could be revitalized as the center of this artistic endeavor. Together we can make our own unique part of town. You could own a home for what you are paying in rent. Many homes here in East Lake have basements for bands. Bring your artistic dreams to breath new life into these 1920’s style homes. Move in groups and artistically reclaim this section of town.
