I know that this thread may be similiar to another thread in this forum, but a little different. The Birmingham area is growing everyday. As a result, the area is spreading in every direction causing once sleepy little towns to boom! Also, places like Clanton, Jasper, Tuscaloosa, Anniston, and Gadsden are seem to be contributing to area, in which people from these places work, shop, and dine in the Birmingham area. Because of Birmingham outstanding growth, are these cities and other communities within a 50-mile radius of Birmingham becoming suburbs to a certain extent?

No, they are their own towns and cities. Birmingham's suburbs include Hoover, Vestavia, Irondale, etc., and to an extent Bessemer, Ensley, etc. But it is not as spread out as some might think.
