Default would like infornmation on Adamsville

Hi, We are moving to the Birmingham area and have found a nice house in Adamsville. I cant find much information on the city and was wondering if anyone could give me some insight about the Schools, and the crime rate there. I realize that it wont be as bad as Bham but would like to get a feel before we commit to the house.

I think Adamsville kids go to Minor High School. I have a friend who teaches there, and I wouldn't encourage you to send your kids there. There are some good kids there, but a lot of problems. Adamsville is one of those areas that filled out as a suburb in the 1960s-1970s but has really faded over time. If you like that type of home, on a larger lot, consider looking on the east side of town in the Irondale area and unincorporated area over there. Also, look in Gardendale.
