Default Blueberry picking

Anyone know of pick your own farms for blueberries around the greater Birmingham area? I have looked at the pickyourown.com website but would like recommendations from people who have been to/ know the farms.

Yes! Our family LOVES Rod Havens' 230-acre, organic blueberry farm in Camp Hill, AL. (near Auburn) see: Home Page

The berries are juicy, freeze well, and thanks to his "eat as you pick" policy, you can choose the sweetest berries. We eat blueberries everyday from last July's trip to the farm. It has become a favorite summertime traditional activity for our family.

Rod is very friendly (retired teacher) and has a rare- and used bookstore on site.

After picking berries, enjoy lunch and a chocolate "fried brownie" at Oscars'! Yum!

Thanks LSWalker. I enjoy blueberry picking just as much as you ! Family enjoys the berries, just not the picking part . I was hoping to find some place closer though - around Shelby / Hoover/ Pelham areas...

I believe you can also pick blueberries at the Morgan Creek Winery, just south of Birmingham on Hwy 280 near Harpersville. If you Google Morgan Creek Winery you can find their phone number and location.
