Going To Cumberland Law...Need Housing Advice
Hello all. I've just been accepted to Cumberland School of Law and will be attending in the fall. I would appreciate any help on where I should start searching for a place to live. I am open to basically any suggestions, from apartments to condos, basically anything you can throw at me. I would prefer not to be more than 10-15 minutes from campus, but also would prefer a place where either law students or people in their low twenties live. Thanks in advance.

My daughter's boyfriend also got accepted and is attending in the Fall. They have a condo in the Highland Park area, there are lots of rentals around that area, he can jump right on I think its Interstate 60 and you get off like 2 or 3 exits down and Stamford and Cumberland are like 2 miles up the road. If you choose to live around Highland Park area, the nice thing is when you are going to Cumberland in the mornings you will be going the opposite way from all the traffic heading down town. My daughter has been in this condo for 3 years and her boyfriend is just moving in, they love that area, lots of students their age. Good Luck to you!

Good advice, but a little clarification. They live on Highland Avenue on the Southside of Birmingham, right? It's a straight shot on Red Mountain Expressway into Homewood, then straight another half mile on Highway 31, right onto Lakeshore, and a half mile to Samford. Easy Cheesy.

Hey, no prob. Your advice was right on the money. I just worried that the OP might be wandering aimlessly around town with a map in hand, cursing our names.
On my first day at the newspaper years ago as a copy boy, the guys on the copy desk sent me to look for a paper stretcher. I went all over the place from the makeup room to the press room, you name it. Little did I know that that was the joke they played on all newbies. So I didn't want the OP to think it was some CD hazing ritual or something.
