I work with a lady who lives in Helena and she loves it. I know what you mean about the feel of the town, seems like a real nice area to live. Anyway back to the person who lives there, she drives to downtown Birmingham where we work, traffic is bad as stated but she leaves a little early and then reads her e-mail after getting to work early. Guess you do what you have to do to live where you really enjoy.

Helena is awesome! We moved there a few years ago and absolutely loved it. The kids still go outside and play, husbands got together to grill out, and moms got together to organize yard sales. We loved living there but had to move do to my husbands job. We would move back in a heartbeat. The traffic is bad if you work normal business hours. Luckily my hubby and I didn't so it wasn't an issue. We still drive to Helena every weekend to let my 5 year old play and to visit everyone!
