If you look at miles traveled, maybe. But the truth is that any travel through Atlanta is dicey. We tried that route once to Fort Myers. And only once. Never again.

According to Google maps...


Exit 130 off I-10W to 231...
231 to I-85 towards Montgomery, then switch to I-65N in downtown Montgomery.

Yes. But 231 is a slog through five zillion out-of-sync traffic lights.

And, given their current, well-publicized woes, Atlanta roads are a very, very bad idea right now

Oh, I'm not saying that is the best way, I was just answering the prior poster's request.


Atlanta is being punished for some reason....Superbowl, I-85, I-20, Roof problems with new stadium...


...probably best to stay away from it.

we always take 231 north to Taylor Rd...right on Taylor rd all the way to I85 then I85 towards Montgomery...to I65 north to Bham
