Hi!
I checked online but I can't decide where is good to buy cheap furniture (that does not break at first time) or maybe could be used furniture in good conditions, I know IKEA but there's IKEA only in Atlanta
I don't wanna spend too much as we'll stay here only for 1 year or maybe 2 at most, any ideas?
I don't like old style heavy wood furniture, I'd like to find something modern, light...
Thank You!

Sometimes 2nd hand store are good, such as salvation army or goodwill. For cheaply made new furniture try big box stores such as Big Lots, Office Depot, or Walmart. But cheap, new, and lightweight are for the most part going to not be so sturdy IMO (IKEA included).
For mattresses, there are a number of places on 31 around what I believe is the Hoover/Pelham

You can also try craigslist.org

I would also try craigs list or local yard sales for second hand furniture (although I'd buy any mattress new...). You can find some great deals on there.

Try World Market! Highly recommend it. We have been very pleased with the dining furniture we bought there. It was very, very reasonable priced and has been extremely durable (and we have 4 kids). They have great sales, and sometimes there are coupons in the (Sunday) newspaper for extra $$ off the sales price. You can find very reasonable priced living room furniture (sofas, chairs, etc). I love, love, LOVE World Market! Check out their website--You can see all their furniture online, too.
