West End is still far from desirreable for most due to the rampant prostitution and the bums who just hangout on the corner all day. Getting rid of these undesirables would help at least give the illusion that this place is safe (ignoring the facts that it is a very high crime area). Funny how age factors in in life. When I was young I went everywhere I pleased and never gave it a second thought.

When you get a little older you know you can still kick like a mule but you are also aware that you are not as quick and that you might not hear or see things as well. You are also aware that somebody might see you shuffling along and think you are an easy mark.

So a few adjustments are in order.
