If you are looking to retire, or a second home, the place to go is the Eastern Shore of MD. Very mild winters (except for this last one), and beautiful waterfront property. As with all areas the prices are down due to the past real estate market. The main county for retirement is Talbot, Dorchester, if you want closer to the metro area of Annapolis, then Queen Anne.
