My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

Merry Christmas!

Posted 12-23-2009 at 12:12 AM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year through a card I created.

That's really me pretending to be Santa .

I created the image myself.

Really neat panoramic view of Prague!

Posted 12-18-2009 at 01:12 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Everyone once in a great while I come upon some fantastic panoramic views of places that make you feel like you are there. Inside your computer screen.

Here's one such web page....

http://www.360cities.net/prague-18-gigapixels

Just click on the FULLSCREEN button in the upper left then using your mouse, starting from the center of the photo, drag in whatever direction you want to move in.

Great stuff!

There is hope for us "sinners" with God even if we have squandered and wasted our lives to now!

Posted 11-10-2009 at 01:21 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

This morning as I was taking a shower I got into a conversation with the Lord (I tend to do that while showering sometimes) asking him as to what good it had been in my life to have stood up for him at various times in my life where it cost me something.

I remember once having been "persecuted" by fellow laborers for wanting to work hard for our boss digging ditches, as though I was working for the Lord Himself. It was making the rest of my co-workers look bad and they...

Every once in a while...someone comes along and inspires the rest of us!

Posted 06-23-2009 at 11:53 AM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Every once in a while someone comes along and rises above their circumstances against all odds to become an inspiration for the rest of us.

The links below are to stories of how an unemployed black man who was all but broke, rose above his circumstances to build something wonderful. That has inspired countless others in turn.

He did what he did in part to inspire others, especially young people to keep them off the streets in the belief that one can be whatever they...

Properly interpreting the Bible.

Posted 06-08-2009 at 02:34 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)
Updated 06-08-2009 at 02:36 PM by carlos123 (Changed a smiley to a smacky :)...)

I was reading John 3 this morning and thought I would write a post on what I believe to be the proper way to interpret the Bible in part, to shed some light on why it is that so many Christians believe so many different things despite reading the same book .

Mind you...I don't have a corner on how to properly interpret the Bible but I do believe that the things I say below make sense and would, if followed, result in far less disagreement than is presently found in Christian...
