My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

Sometimes the number of views for one of my posts is just...well...weird.

Posted 10-15-2009 at 11:40 AM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Sometimes I go back and look over my old posts, mainly out of curiosity, to see what the view counts are.

It's quite surprising to me that many of my old posts have view counts over 200. A fair number are over 400, and some even top 800 views!

I don't know what to make of these numbers and often times take them in stride. Most are probably from the search engines and are just people coming here to read my posts since there would likely be more comments to some...

A better Google than...well...Google :)...

Posted 08-02-2009 at 03:07 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Oftentimes I get frustrated with searches I do on Google. Many searches produce tons of pages that have either nothing to do with the subject I am looking to find out about or the pages that show up, while being somewhat relevant, are not very in depth or otherwise useful.

So...I have to keep refining the search using search tricks to produce more relevant search results (such as adding "- something" to the search phrase to weed out search results that show up that I have...

Say goodbye to Microsoft Windows...and replace it with Google?

Posted 07-08-2009 at 12:44 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Yup. That's right folks.

Microsoft Windows is toast!

Google will shortly be rolling out a new operating system anchored by their newly developed internet browser called Chrome (based on the code underlying the open source Mozilla browser called Firefox...a great browser by the way).

In other words Google is throwing it's weight behind a push to seperate the local operating system from the computer and have an internet based operating system take it's...

Absolutely incredible virtual tour or the Basilica of Saint Paul's in Rome!

You have got to see this!

Absolutely incredible.

It's almost as good as being there but without actually taking a trip to Rome to see the Church first hand (well...almost as good).

Go to the following link, click and hold the left mouse button in the middle of the photo and then move the mouse upwards. It will be as though you are moving your head and staring at the ceiling!

Come back down to the floor and you can then move the mouse right...

Some really great computer applications I've found recently!

Posted 06-10-2009 at 11:15 AM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

While most of my posts lately have revolved around Christian subjects of one kind or another, or on my personal circumstances, I am not so interested in heavenly things that nothing on Earth ever interests me. Nor do my personal circumstances always merit a blog post.

In this post I want to highly recommend a few computer applications I have found recently that are nothing short of fantastic at least with respect to my needs and way I operate on my computer. They may do the same...
