BMW is dropping the V10 in favor of the turbo V8. your thoughts! IMO...It should be interesting. But the turbo whine, I can still hear it in the new 335. They better make improvements or they'll disappoint the M5 fans!

LOL, turbo whine? Sounds like you are the one doing the whining :P

The turbo spool up sound is one of the nice things about a turbo

Performance cars are supposed to make sounds.

I actually like hearing the turbo in my car. For one I think it's just a cool sound, and for another, it helps to communicate what's going on under the hood.

Anyway, I'm all for it. It's a good way to get the same power plus more torque but with better fuel economy while cruising. Not to mention V8s are naturally balanced when properly configured whereas V10s are not.

don't like the move.

M series cars should be naturally aspirated beasts. leave the forced induction to audi and MB when it comes to tarted up versions of their normal cars.
