Yes, the maintenance is covered . One reason why I've gone BMW over the others. Didn't care for the ride in the Lexus. Too much like a grandma car or Cadillac. Not me. M-B dropped their maint. program when I bought my BMW so that kicked them out of the running. Had nothing but great things to say about the BMW. The current BMW is a 3 series w/ the sports package so that I can hand it down in a few months to my daughter. LOVE the M5 and it is a contender to replace the lose of my current BMW. Would love an M6 convertible next though and just might talk dh into it. Since I'd only be having to haul around 1 kid with the other driving .
Hand down the 3 series to the daughter. I guess that is what a real housewife of Dallas does?
From reading all the reviews, I have read the BMW 535i is the best value. It performs just about neck and neck with the 550i, but is quite a bit cheaper. Also, I read there is a cheap software modification that will make it faster than the 550i for only $500 or so since it is twin turbo.
Davachka, in all seriousness, since you lease vehicles or don't keep them past warrenty, why not get the 535 or 550 with a manual trans and have fun? It should not cost (much) more than the Lexus, and should be a lot more fun car.
I will have to say I wouldn't want to buy one of these cars coming in off lease though - free maintenance done by the dealer only when the mileage was so high they couldn't say no - driven by someone who knew full well they would not keep it more than a couple years - no thanks...
That said, it's the case regardless if you get one or not, so, go on, at least do a test drive...
Compared and drove 535 (with M Sports Package) to 550 (M Sport Package)
Very little difference noted to be honest, not enough to warrant a difference in price. Loved the drive though. Hubby wants me to drive the 6 as well, considering it but pretty settled on the 535, only if fully loaded though
Drove a CTS- cheap, plasticky interior imo. CTS-V, gets 12 mpg city, no thanks to that, wasnt impressed with interior either.
With the 528 you're paying for an overpriced slow car, with the 550 you're paying for an overpriced fast car. The 535 is the only 5 you should look at imo - enough power and not overpriced for what you get considering its a German-badged car, although for the money I can think of better cars to get.
Thank you, finally someone else who realizes the truth...Cadillac is a luxury wannabe.
Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about. And it's a way better value than the German cars.
