Default Eagle Mayor calls it quits

Any thoughts on this in regards to all the growth and the citizens reaction to the growth?

I read this in a STP email, but I haven't found a story or confirmation on it anywhere else.

I find it interesting, because tomorrow she was supposed to host a summit at her house in Eagle with all of the other city mayors, in an effort to facilitate cooperation and understanding between them all.

Problem is, though, the damage has already been done. The foothills off of the state highway are going to be developed no matter who is in place.

One sign of encouragement that I've read over the weekend is that Boise/Ada County is one of the worse places for developers to try to get their projects going; too much of a hassle, too many benchmarks and riders go into their project. As it should be.

Cool Ahem....sounds like the perfect opportunity for

ArtMom or Anchorless to get into Politics ! I read the story in the online Idaho Statesman last week and saw where Nancy said that the salary was going to be increased from $42K to $74K. I can imagine there will be quite a few folks applying for the position . Hey, I'm looking for work . Maybe I should apply ???

On a separate note, I drove my normal route down Floating Fleather Rd and North to Beacon Light checking out the housing market in Eagle today and saw a boatload of brand new subdivisions in what appears to be STALL mode and quite a few for sale signs in already built subs. Yes, developers want to develop in the Eagle Foothills, but can they really be that stupid to start building any time soon with the glut of homes we have now ?

I don't live in Eagle, so there's no way I could run for Mayor there. It will be interesting to see what happens with it, though.

If you look at future plans for the land between those roads, it'll be almost completely filled with houses in the next 10 years. For anyone who has driven in that country - can you imagine that?

That area will more than double its housing in the next 10 years. Insane.

Logic - I read that from Tony's comments on the Guardian. Grain of salt and all.
