Short term rentals in Boise area (Meridian: apartments, month-to-month, homes)

My husband has to relocate to Boise a few months before the rest of the family. We are having a tough time finding apartments that do month-to-month or 3 month leases. It's a little early for craigslist since he won't be moving until October.
Does Boise/Meridian or the surrounding areas offer places like Budget Suites, which is a furnished weekly rental? They're all over the place here in Vegas.
Or do you know of any apartments that do short term leases? He doesn't need it to be furnished, nor does he need a "corporate suite" with all the silverware and plates. A studio or one bedroom would be fine, rent around $500-$700 a month (more if utilities are included).

Are there any other short term furnished rental around that don't cost an arm and a leg like corporate yet have their own bathroom? The quads looked neat but my hubby may be needing something there in the spring and would like more privacy. Thanks!
