There are a lot of British expats here? Really? If you're correct about that then I want to know where they hang out to get their comfort food because it's a veritable wasteland for that. But any hangout for them would be a good place to start to ask about the soccer issues. I remember a British-themed place serving goods and snacks on Fairview in Boise (after it moved from Meridian), but I'm betting that place is long gone.
