Default Residential property SE of Boise?

I was wondering how much residential property (on less than 5 acres) there is SE of Boise in the Danskins Mountains; near Arrowrock Reservoir; on the South Fork of the Boise river, along roads such as Blacks Creek, Long Gulch and Rattlesnake Creek; or further to the SE near Little Camas Reservoir. I am guessing it is somewhere between very little to none but I wondered if someone could speak to it a bit. I didn't see hardly anything with Google maps or one real estate site with a map search tool.

If a person was looking for an affordable place (under $250k) 5-50 miles east of Boise (preferably at least modestly treed), where would you suggest looking? Which website do you think is most helpful for this kind of search?

At this point, this is a research interest and not a pressing immediate plan. Thanks for any insights.

There are scattered ranches in those areas (look at Google Earth) but in general they all come with land. That area is generally not very forested so finding a spot with trees will be challenging. A lot of the area that has trees is national forest.

The area around Prairie might be your best bet. It is a small town and likely has some smaller lots and there are also some trees in the area.

Thanks. For some reason I thought google maps / street view was basically the same data as google earth. Not. There are 15 homes right close together at Prairie. No other obvious clusters nearby. One Prairie home for sale for $375,000 on 10 acres.
