but I do agree the area has gotten a bit of a trashy edge on it, mostly in the last 5-6 years.
The "legal citizens" are generally the children of the illegals. So illegal aliens don't cause crime themselves.

I lived in an Arizona border town for 10 years. They had the highest per capita gang membership in the country, and very few of them were illegals.

I checked out the crime stats for Nampa and from the look of it there isnt much crime there,I think people that grew up around that area just arnt used to any kinds of crime so when you do see or hear about some it sounds like the town is going down the drain, but the town is also growing fast.Yall would probably be shocked at how small towns are here in New Mexico, they have their bad parts and gangs, even tiny towns.New Mexico was ranked #2 in the most dangerous states in 2007 and we only have 1 medium sized metro area here so most of the crime falls onto the small towns. All Im trying to say is its not that bad,I have been around the area a few times and its just a nice normal town to me,Nampa is a good-looking city.

all of these posting are fairly old. Any new news on the crime and gang problem in Nampa? We are considering moving there.
