Default Early November

The only time I can come and visit the Boise area wont be until the first week of November I was concerned that it will be a "winter" enviornment. I mean to say no leaves, no color, cloudy, drab and cold. Will this be true?

I would say we are close to peek here as far as fall color so I would imagine by the first part of Nov that the leaves will be gone. Seems to be our temperatures have been cooler than usual lately. Fall seems to be coming sooner this year for us. Hard to predict the weather, but I can tell you our warm days will most likely be gone by Nov. Most of our snow comes in Jan/Feb. Our area has approx 232 days of sunshine a year so it's not always gloomy here even in the winter which is what makes it so nice. We don't typically have large accumulations of snow to deal with so I wouldn't anticipate that being an issue for you. Hope this helps.

Even if its cold and the leaves have long fallen, we do typically get sunshine during our fall months. It might be overcast, windy and rainy - you can never tell - but more often than not the sun is out.
