Is there any grocery or dairy store in the area (preferably over on the Nampa side, but..) that sells dry curd cottage cheese? Haven't seen it yet and I like it so much better than the gooey creamed stuff. (Also, dry curd doesn't go bad, it ages into a fine hard cheese similar to swiss.)

I think I've seen it in Winco stores.

Hmmmm.... let us know if you find it. We had cottage cheese like that in Michigan for a family vacation and I've been bummed that we can't find it here.

Found the Winco (and the other Costco, whose parking lot wasn't designed by such a lunatic as the Boise one) but plumb forgot to look for it. Well, next trip...

I get so tired of the goo on creamed cottage cheese, sometimes I wash it off!! but it's not quite the same.

I like it with sugar and cinnamon on it, or lemon pepper... don't like catsup, but now I wonder about using chili sauce...
