Hi there (again),
I'm curious if there's any cabin rentals close to Boise? I'm relocating from an area where we have a huuuuuuuge assortment of cabin-in-the-woods (minus the horror) options, usually with hot tubs, within a 90 minute drive. It's a favorite destination to get away from the city and into the forest with no cell reception while still having indoor plumbing and other creature comforts. I might not be googling correctly but I'm having a hard time finding options like this near Boise?

I looked into Pioneer Condos at Bogus Basin but I'm looking for more of a getaway experience. Any suggestions? I see things in McCall and Sun Valley but was looking to keep it around a 90 minute drive from Boise.

Thanks!

I can't say for sure in Boise but here in Atlanta you can go to Craigslist under vacation rentals and find hundreds of them. Hope that helps.

Cascade is right about 90 minutes, Garden Valley/Terrace Lake Resort area is about an hour. Try searching VRBO or inidaho.com. Good luck!

Try this - I was looking for a motel with a private hot spring which I had seen online. I actually stayed at Haven Hot Springs and it was a lot of fun. Not a cabin, but I know there are cabins nearby! Maybe they would be able to help out.

try looking in the Crouch and Garden Valley areas. Very scenic and less than an hour from Boise. Google those areas and make some calls. There are rivers, hot springs, lodges, cabins, some cool pubs and restaurants, etc. You will feel like you are way out in the mountains yet you are not far away at all. I highly recommend!

Also try Lowman, Banks and Horshoe Bend. these areas are near the other two but I like the first two I mentioned better....in my humble opinion.

Good luck and please post some results .

You guys are awesome, thanks so much for your suggestions!! I'm not even in Boise yet - 12 more days! - so it's hard for me to know where things are and what direction to point when I'm looking for something. Thanks again!

the places I mentioned are just north of Boise on I-55 which is the most "main highway" headed north out of Boise. Just head to the north side of downtown, near the capital bldg, and then head westwards on State St.....after approx. 7-8 miles on State St. you will see I-55 north to McCall. Can't miss it...ask anyone for help. Recommend calling ahead to make sure roads are open heading that way.

You'll come to Banks after approx. 30-40 minutes on I-55 north and then hang a right to get to Crouch, Garden Valley, etc.

I am sure any of the places people have been telling you about will be great. Enjoy your trip.
