Brilliant! Moved to the neighborhood in June and have gotten to know my neighbors. Seems pretty quiet, and we love that it's easy to get to downtown, Eagle or Meridian.

Thank you so much! We're planning on relocating to the Boise area and will be visiting in April so trying to target areas to look for houses. Appreciate the info.

Collister area is west of the north end and just on the eastern border of "northwest Boise." It is relatively close-in with easy access to either Hill Road or State Street for travel into downtown our out to shopping at Gary Lane/State Street. It is also pretty easy to get to the connector and freeway access (10-15 minutes to I-84).

The area has a mix of subdivisions developed in the 80's & 90's (Jordan's Landing area) as well as older homes built in the 40's through 60's. The Sycamore District is a small area with large lots (up to an acre) that is the only part of Boise that allows for horses on a lot smaller than an acre.

Collister grade school is small with a strong parents network and is a math/science magnet school. The Collister shopping center and Collister & State has a great coffee house (Salt Tears) that serves delicious food and is adjacent to a local artists cooperative (Green Chutes). There is also a bowling alley and several antique shops as well as banks, post office, etc.
