Default Boise

Wondering which parts of Boise, if any, are better than others. Have heard the west side is nice.

I personally don't like the Westside. It seems to suburban. I recomend the North end, very nice, but expensive. The east side is nice too, it is also suburban, but closer to downtown, the foothills, river etc. It is has more character than the westside. if you can find a nice spot on the bench though, it can be cheap and it has more character than the westside, I guess all i'm trying to say is, i don't care for West Boise. But its all a matter of prefernce

If I did not have kids I would pick the Boise Bench area, full of cool funky houses on big lots with lots of potential for appreciation. Close to the river, greenbelt, foothills and downtown. Our family decided to move to West Boise near HP and it was the best decision that I could have made. Lots of kid friendly neighborhoods with easy access to parks and schools. As much as I told myself that I never wanted to move to the 'burbs I have to confess that it was the best thing for my family. In ten years when the kids are in college I will be shopping for a house in the North End or the Bench.
