Default Poll ... where are you from and why did you ... ?

I've noticed that many recent transplants to Boise are from AZ or CA. I thought it might be fun to do an informal poll and see where else some of you are from.

1. Where were you born and raised.

2. Where did you move to Boise from? (If you're from CA say what part ... its a BIG state)

3. If you haven't arrived yet, but you want to ... where are you coming from?

4. Why did you (or do you want) to relocate.

5. How long have you lived here.

OK me first.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA
We Came here from Phoenix, AZ
We wanted a better place to raise a family ... smaller community. The Phoenix summer were too harsh and too long. I did not like that my kids were trapped inside due to the heat. Did not feel there was enough outdoor recreation in Phoenix.
We've been here 6 weeks.

Katera is on a distinguished road
Born in Los Angeles, moved out of California at age 18 <thank you Air Force>, have been living in Texas for last 16 years but the Hurricaines and Humidity <Houston> have worn us down.

Going to be buying a vacation home this year in or around Boise, and plan on moving up there full time in about 5 years. I have a feeling we will be spending a ton of time in the vacation home though!
