Default All signs point to Boise

For years my nephew has been telling me I'd love Boise and if his career allowed it he'd move back in a heartbeat. I've been reading many posting for the past month or so and can't wait to get a feel for Boise myself. I'll be landing in Boise Airport on Tuesday, Oct 23, 2007 and staying until Saturday. Many thanks to all of you who have offered so much advice on the area.
(I feel like I know some of you!)

Torrie, a special thanks for all the info you have posted! You've made my investigating workload a lot lighter.

Default welcome

Leenda ...
Welcome! I hope you like your visit. I see that you are from the CA desert ... let me tell you that its cold right now I know some of the long timers here don't think so ... but it is chilly so bring a good jacket and take into consideration where you are coming from.

My son's friend just came over to play - he was born here ... this 8 year old is barefooted and in a short sleeved shirt playing outside. My son is dressed in a t-shirt, a hoodie and jeans, warm socks and tennis shoes and he's still cold.

My first visit to Boise was in January of 2006 ... it was cold and there were no leaves on the trees. All my friends kept telling me, "this is NOT the best time to visit and see Boise." Nevertheless, I fell in love with the place and I thought if this is the worst ... I can't wait to see it when its lovely. Well, Fall has been lovely.

I hope you have a great visit. Let us know your thoughts when you return.

Leenda,
Glad the information is being put to good use, I appreciate the feedback, thank you! I hope you have a great time while you are here.

Alley I have to laugh at your post as my first visit was in the month of Jan too and it's definitely not the best time to come to the area for your first impression! Everything looks dead and you're thinking the whole time -what am I getting in too? Lucky for the both of us, Boise has turned out to be a great fit!
