I know I can addapt to anything, but Boise is said to have "mild" winters. Thanks!
hi sunnymom6
I read your post. and I live in So Cal to. I live in Menifee ca which is by temecula ca.
I also have been thinking of relocating to Boise to. I have visit there a couple of times very nice city.
very quint downtown. I have live in the northwest, portland oregon, and northwern Idaho, and northern california, what brought me back to calif. was I miss my family, kids, and grandson. and also had a hard time living up there in the winter. because i got depresssed in the winter months. but it been 7 years since i live up there. and I miss living in four season. so I heard from our friend, that live in boise that there alot more sunny days in the winter months. so I have been thinking about checking it out to in april. I really enjoy living up north. the pace is so much slower there. it so crazy living in calif.and it hard to make friends. i mostly hang out with my family. I was going to check out Meridian, and Boise. I heard Eagle was kind of pricey. my husband and I are empty nester, so were thinking about being snow bird and come back south for the winter. well good luck !if you have any question please ask.

Hi Wisewoman59.

Thanks for posting. I am in the Poway area if San Diego. My brother is also thinking of moving to Boise too. But he is in northern arizona. So he said the weather should be similar. I think southern Idaho will be all I can do weather wise. I like having sunny days. I think four seasons sounds like a nice change. Good luck to you.

The reason for the colder temperatures is we occasionally have temperature "inversions". It has been a lot warmer up in the mountains above Boise than in town. For example, my son went skiing the other day and I thought he would get frost bite up in the mountains expecting it to be 10 - 15 degrees colder yet. However, the opposite was true and it was over 20 degrees warmer up in the mountains!
