Best Pizza in Boise/Eagle area
Hi all, We just moved here and are interested in getting some tips for the best pizza places in the area. We like thin, crispy crust pizza that has a balance of traditional type toppings and maybe a few gourmet selections. We're not into the chain pizza stores such as Round Table, Dominos, etc.. and we've tried Smoky Mountain Pizza. It was o.k. but we're still looking for something a bit better. Any favorite places that would fit the bill? Please share! Thanks!

If you live near Eagle you should try Guido's. It's New York style pizza and it is near the intersection of Cloverdale and Chinden.

Just moved from Boise and I have to say that Guido's was definitely the best. I think the one downtown was better than the one on Chinden though. There was also a very good pizza place in BoDo. Can't remember the name though.
Enjoy! We're on the hunt for good pizza now in Austin!

You my friend need to get up to Cassanova Pizzeria on Vista Ave. Best pizza in town, especially if you like the thin crust "neapolitan" style pizza.
Second vote would be Flying Pie, but it's a little heavy....not Chicago style but not of the thin crust variety.
Here's a link to Cassanova.

you sure it wasn't the frozen dough you ingested at Papa Joe's? Last time I ate there they never fully cooked the pizza, it was still frozen in the center.
BTW...I have never, never in my life heard someone reference Papa Joe's as the best pizza in town.
Great place to drink suds with your buddies after a softball or ultimate frisbee tournament but the food is an afterthought. Wait, their breakfast and chocolate chip cookies are decent.

Guido's falls short in my opinion, both taste and bad service, if I want pizza by the slice then Pie Hole is my choice of distinction. Smokey Mountain Pizza and Flying Pie are excellent but are heavy, americanised. The real pizza is the best, such as the pizza menu at Gino's and Tony's Pizzeria Teatro offers the best in Boise. When you eat real pizza there is not a need for a shaker of fake parmeson, stale chili pepper flakes, and salad dressing for dipping.
