I've been meaning to ask. Is there a place like Bier Stein in Boise where it's a bottle shop and pub?
They have a thousand bottles of beer in enclosed coolers along the wall that you can purchase individually and drink there. So if you want to try Idaho beers you go to the Idaho cooler. Same with Oregon beers and so forth. They also have rotating beers on tap where you can purchase flights, and they have distributors come in and offer beer samplings while you can eat your food indoors or outdoors and visit with friends.
If there isn't a version here already I think that would be a really good business to start in a neighborhood setting like the North End, East End, West End or downtown near BSU.
Welcome to Bier:Thirty Bottle & Bistro, Boise’s premier beer bar.
Over 400 craft and imported bottles, 10 constantly rotating taps, growlers-to-go, beer-centric cuisine and wines by the glass. Come down to have a beer with your neighbors, watch the game, stock up on bottles for the weekend or attend one of our many beer tastings and beer dinners.
I've been reading about them...but found nothing on prices. $, $$, $$$?
Have a friend visiting soon and would like to try this place for a glass of wine and apps, or dinner.
Thanks!
Bodovino down on 8th Street is also a great place for wine and apps.
