Bardenay for lunch, Ale House or Fork for lunch or dinner, Goldys for breakfast, Off the Hook for lunch. Bodovino for a snack and to sample small glasses of wine. I have never had a bad meal in Boise and I steer clear of the standard chain restaurants. Lucky Finns is also good. The FuNky Taco truck at the Farmer's Market is AWESOME. My problem is I keep going back to the same places to each time I visit instead of trying new places. Now I'm hungry.

I really liked Fork and Bitter Creek!

I'm excited to try some of these suggestions the next time I'm up... should be in February.

Spoke with my Star friends this weekend, they too said EML was a great place!

Thanks for recommending!!

Anybody up for another gathering? Try this place for dinner?

Trudy's Kitchen in Idaho City is probably the best rural restaurant around.

Big Jud's in Boise has really improved their fare and service since they moved into new building.

Bad Boy Burgers on Vista is probably my favorite fast food drive-in.

Haven Cafe at Haven Hot Springs in Lowman has always had good food and service although not all that many folks know about it or just passed by btw Lowman and Stanley.

These are not high end restaurants but hard to beat in the affordable restaurants niche market.

I agree with their After Midnight Imperial Stout. I picked up bottle #5 on this year's release day. Next time you are at Slanted Rock, try their newest seasonal release "Cordial Stout". It is delicious and probably pairs well with Kilted Cod's offerings too.
