Downtown Apartment Complexes
I've put a few posts up already about Boise info, but it looks like we will be moving to Boise sooner than expected. We won't have much time to find a place and will only have about a day to look at places. We don't want to stay in a major apartment comlex for too long, but we figure we will move into one on a three month lease until we can get a feel for the town and find something better.
We are looking for something close to downtown and the following two places seem to have good reviews from what I've seen:
The River Plaza
Reflections at the Rivers Edge
Does anyone have any additional insight on these two places? If not, is there any complexes you can recomend downtown that won't be too noisy or filled with college kids?
Thanks again.

I've heard nothing but good things about River Plaza, I'm thinking of living there myself. Als heard the the Cambridge Dorchester is great but I can't find a website or even a single picture of the place online.

I had a friend that use to live in riverplaza and they are nice... in a nice area.. kids can walk to the park.. and close to downtown as well can walk to the markets and what not... I do know that if you check craigslist there are some cityside loft apartments that have been recently purchased and are for rent as well.. boise is seeing a downtown condo boom.. and its just begginning.. I think riverplaza is a good place to start on a short lease.. and then get a feel for where you want to live...
I live downtown and love it.. but I don't have kids.. but I think if I did.. I would still stay close to downtown.. but probably be more on the northend...

Hey now ... DINKS is not sexual preference specific
I married late and had kids late as well . and we call all my hetro "coupled up" friends with no kids, DINKS, too.
Just wanted to footnote that the term applies to anyone who is coupled up, with no kids - just in case anyone was unclear about it

Well, it looks like River Plaza has no available apartments til April so I'm back to the drawing board. Does anyone have any info about Reflections at River's Edge or The River Walk apartments?

you should look on craigslist.. I know there are quite a few listings in the downtown area... or the northend... and you can discuss the terms of your lease better because lots of times your landlord is just an independent person.. rather than a big complex with rules and set terms...
