The neighbors across the street have lived in their CBH home for over a year and are also very happy!

All new homes are great in the beginning. Its at the 5 and 10 year mark when everything brakes down. Thats when CBH could show and you will change your opinion of them. It doesnt mean it has to be though. I lived in a cheap home construction which I bought at 10 year mark. Everything broke. I spent 10 years fixing everything.

I think that has been the consensus with both CBH and Hubble. If you look at their homes aged between 5-15 years old, what kind of condition are they in, and what kind of materials did they use? I never heard a good thing about them, and I have a friend with a CBH home in the Columbia Village area.

However, it's entirely possible they've improved their product lately, too.

All new homes are not good in the beginning. We had Kaufman and Broad in NV and people had major problems in the first couple years.
We shall see.

I have sold a lot of homes for both Corey (CBH) and Don (Hubble Homes) over the years and will continue to do so. They both serve a niche in the market. I have never had a problem with either one of them doing warranty work during the first year. Could they build a better home, definitely, but the prices would reflect it. They build homes at a decent price and either one will allow you to upgrade as you see fit.

As long as you get paid what would your issue be.

My "issue" is based on a customer service model based on long term clients, not one closing at a time! That is why this is my full time occupation for the past 25 years. I have two different residential real estate clients that have bought/sold over ten properties from me over the years (these are just families, not builders or developers). There is a reason why my company is A+ rated with the BBB and I am proud of it!

Congratulations on the new home and welcome to the Treasure Valley. CBH home can be kept up and looking nice if you stay on top of things.

Just an FYI. Image Homes offers a two year warranty. I've had a good experience dealing with Lee the owner through various emails with questions being thoroughly answered. We're looking to possibly build in Legacy.
