Default question for the locals?

with all the politcs of late i am wondering if locals feel like the political landscape in Boise is changing at all? particularly in light of the influx of out-of-staters over the last decade or so? just curious to hear what you all think!

Boise is a democratic stronghold in a very republican state. Because of this the state legislature has been screwing over the entire valley by not allowing to tax ourselves to subsidise a mass transit system. There is a definate rural bias in congress, and they tend to resent Boise. Boise votes straight ticket democrat for statewide offices and voted in favor of the democrats for the house in the 2006 election, however the Republicans won due to rural voters.
Boise Weekly - Not Your Everyday Newspaper: News: News: Ada's Dem turn

All but one congressional district in Boise is held solely by Democrats. At one point the Idaho Statesman called Boise the capital of the state of Ada, because we are so much different from the rest of the state. I looked for that article but it must be too old.
