Hi Everyone,
My wife and I are thinking about moving to Boise, but she would be commuting to Mountain Home Air Force Base from the southern part of Boise. My questions are:
1 Is the commute doable, even in the winter?
2 How long would it take? (I've looked at Google Maps, but I would like the actual time of someone doing the drive)
Many people commute each way daily to Mountain Home so it is definitely doable. It is a pretty boring drive, but fortunately the speed limit is 80 MPH most of the way now so that helps. It is the major interstate here so the road is kept in good condition 99% of the time even in the winter.
From my home in SW Boise, it is about a 45 minute to an hour drive to Mountain Home for the 48 mile drive.
i agree i've known many who make the drive and have had a similar commute before its not a big deal if you have some good tunes or a carpool buddy
