Ok, here's my laundry list of areas around here I wouldn't personally live if I could help it at all. Ontario or Nyssa, Oregon in their entirity. North Caldwell, North Nampa, and certain other pockets of both of those towns. West-central Meridian (ie NW 8th/Idaho neighborhood), the Parkinson/Conover and the Utahna/Shields areas of Eagle, Seneca/Gulley area of South Ada County. Areas of the Boise bench such as Latah/Alpine or Vista/Canal. Any of the numbered streets that cross Adams in Garden City.
Each of these areas makes the list for their own reasons. In the case of Ontario and areas of Nampa/Caldwell, it's gangs and crime in addition to blight. Common to all are poor upkeep, social chaos, and lower quality of life in general. Fortunately, such neighborhoods are not indicative of the area as a whole.
