Like to speak different languages? Boise might need you!
"St. Alphonsus currently employs over 100 interpreters, specializing in 80 languages. Roughly 1,000 non-English speaking patients are seen by health care professionals monthly at St. Al's, but coordinators with the program say that number and the need for interpreters is steadily rising."

que bueno
Estoy pensando en mudarme a Boise este verano, y parece que tenga, aunque, mas razon que nunca.
I love it. I'm a white latino that looks and "talks amurican." and spanish. I guess its only a matter of time until my skills are in need in places like boise. And it seems like places where Spanish was previously not spoken at all are the boom towns for me. Here in south Florida where I have seasonally lived, speaking spanish is like having an expensive car, sure you might look cool in most other places with a bmw, but here its just normal and expected.

So, let's see if I can get what you're saying, You're thinking of moving to Boise this summer and it seems like now you have more of a reason to.
How's that? My Spanish skills are weak- it's been a long time since I've used them.

Yea, you nailed it. Well, It looks, like I am going to help my friend deliver his boat to the bahamas, so I'm stoked about that. Upon my return to ft. lauderdale in a few weeks, my plan was to start heading towards boise, via louisville ky to pickup/drop off some gear, trading sea for mountains. Would you think there are a lot of jobs in boise this summer? seasonal gigs are cool, but if I like it in boise, I might just stay on. After being in central america for the past six months, I'm feeling a little culture shock returning to south florida. People are in such a friggin' hurry here and I have to think that a good road trip and a summer in the mountains would do me some good. I grew up in the mid-west and simply stated: I like nice people. I feel like there are some places left in the country where they tend to congregate, and somehow I get the feeling that Idaho has their fair share.

Idaho has lots of nice people and I think you will find it to be the slower paced life you're looking for. Outdoor activities will greet you in almost every corner of the state. Jobs are available, though some will tell you they're difficult to come by. It's not a high-paying state, but many who come, choose a better quality of life over the paycheck. Considering you travel around, my guess would be quality of life is most likely important to you and the paycheck doesn't dominate your decision. Hope that helps and let us know what you think when you get settled in here.
