Tuscany Village? (Meridian, Eagle, Victor: real estate, houses, buying)

Hi out there,
We are looking in Meridian and have liked some houses we saw in the Tuscany subdivisions. Any thoughts on this area? How do you think the value of these homes will hold up in the future (we will have a to move in a few years because of my husband's job)?

as far as pricing goes now is a good time to buy from what I have heard. The meridian area is getting built out pretty well so I would imagine value is all in respects to how long you plan on living there. If I was a buyer I would wait a couple of months into the summer to see what happens on a national level as far as financing options go. Word on the street is that the government could be bailing out a bunch more financial institutions to aid in better rates.

Tuscany's a great subdivision to consider as it offers several amenities to potential buyers. The newest will be a Siena School which is due to open this fall. Close freeway access is an additional bonus that will most likely pay off as a key selling point in the years to come. Buying real estate is a long term investment. Two years isn't much time to let that investment grow. You will be at the mercy of the market and whatever conditions they might bear at the time. Don't despair, you never know, we could booming again by the time you have to sell.

do you think there is a difference between tuscany village and then all of the other tuscany subdivisions that are clumped near the school? the home we liked best is in Tuscany Village, the oldest subdivision.

No, I think you'd be fine in any of them, there's some nice homes in there and it's one of the subdivisions where thought was put into it. The nice thing about living on that side of town is you don't have as bad of congestion as other areas. I live not too far from there and have been quite please with the SW side of town. The ammenities have improved since we moved there 5 years ago so we find it to be quite the convenient location. You will get a little bunching up of traffic on Eagle/Victory, especially during typical rush hour times, but it's by far easier than the other side of Eagle Rd. I find it fairly centrally located- it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get downtown if you need to.
