Default Apple Fritters in Boise?

The Bakery Basket out on Ustick used to have the most wonderful apple fritters! I was so upset when I made the trip out for my fix last year and found a Starbucks in its place. So in my search to fill that craving I went to Pastry Perfection a few weeks ago. Theirs were absolutely disgusting. Very undercooked to the point that 1" in from the edges was stretchy raw yeast dough all the way to the center. I bought a butterfly (another deep fried confection) and it was exactly the same.

So pray tell, where does one find excellent fritters in Boise now?

Country Donuts, Overland and 5 Mile.

No financial interest. Just love their stuff.

I would have said Pastry Perfection. I guess not. Never had a fritter there, but they got good doughnuts.

Completely forgot about Country Donuts 2ndhalfcor, I'll try them next time.

I though PP should be the best too, Justin. Maybe I caught them on a bad day? Cuz they were really really bad.

I've had a few French inspired apple pastries at La Vie En Rose downtown in the Idanha building. Very yummy.

Default Apple Fritters

Big City Coffee in downtown has crazy Scones that to me are more like fritters than scones. They are beyond good!!!
