Hi Kim,
Jobs in Boise can be quite competitive, but if you're not too picky about what you do there are jobs here. What might be helpful is to get a subscription to our local paper, Boise, Idaho news, weather, traffic, jobs, classifieds | Idaho Statesman and watch for new companies coming to the area. If you happen to see one of those articles, google the name of the company and start inquiring about jobs and how you can apply. Some people search using Craigslist, or careerbuilder.com.
Recently we've opened a lot of new schools- that might offer some opportunities for you. I've posted a few of the articles in this thread, but you can also find out about the new schools on the following two links. You'll have to surf around there, but you should see information on both school districts where new schools have opened.
Boise School District
Joint School District No. 2 - School Attendance Areas and Boundary Maps
Here's one for charter schools in Boise:
Idaho Charter School Network
As far as housing goes, I know a lot of people like to use craigslist. If you go through a property management company most likely they will do a credit check. Considering the winter months are coming and people don't want their properties left vacant; you might come across some opportunities where people are willing to be more flexible with the credit check.
Hope this answers some of your questions.

This thread is SPECIFICALLY for job postings and leads in the Boise area. There are other threads to discuss the Boise job market, so unless you're posting jobs, please don't post in this thread.

Hi All,
My aunt just told me the other day that she heard on the radio there was going to be a job fair held for a company that used to be in the Boise area, left, and then came back.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? She couldn't remember the name of the company but said that they were looking for admin professionals and either computer engineers or programmers...
If anyone has any info on this it would be greatly appreciated. I think she heard the ad on 105.9 or 106.9 (whichever plays "light favorites"). I'd like to attend but not sure if I missed it.
Thanks!

None of these are confirmed...lets hope Boise can attract these companies and the credit crunch doesn't halt expansion...
