Default Future Boise trip

Hi, I will be in Boise in about 6 weeks finalizing a job. I have been contemplating a move to the area for a while now, and I have to say this forum has been so helpful in answering a lot of questions I had about the area and it's culture. So, thanks!
Anyway, I will be staying in the downtown area for about 3 days, and was wondering if anyone could direct a single, 30 year old woman to places that may be of interest, in particular, some nightlife. Maybe some good restaurants and bars/clubs? Unfortunately, my days are pretty booked up during my stay, which is a bummer because I would love to explore the lovely nature surrounding the city. Any suggestions for some good hiking trails in the area (just in case I get an afternoon off)?
Also, if anyone knows of any reputable apartments that you may suggest, it would be much appreciated. Complexes are fine, as well as private landlords and the such.
Thanks in advance!

If you are looking for bars and staying downtown, all you need to do is walk down the street a little, in any direction.

If you haven't found a place to stay yet, you might want to consider the Boise Guest House for short term rentals in downtown Boise. Its in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance (3 blocks) to everything. The Boise Guest House rent boutique apartments nightly weekly and monthly. You are within 1/2 a mile to Hulls Gulch and Camel's Back Park, which has something like 40 miles of trails (Rim to Ridges). You can also rent mountain bikes nearby and explore the trails that way, too
