Default Are the Qwest phone + internet services good in Boise?

I'm using Verizon and was surprised to find how much more expensive Qwest phone + internet services were. I also heard that Qwest had poor customer service. Is it true? I dealt with a Qwest sales rep before and it wasn't a bad experience.

Also, is there any other phone + internet service company I could use? Cable One seems more expensive.

I use quest and the problems are minimal, I have also had cable one and I favor quest. Customer service is customer service but they all spoke English so that is a plus..Cable one has a local office which is (or was) hard to reach nights and weekends....
Hope this helps
Jeff

I will never, ever use Qwest again.
I spent time in Idaho this winter and needed a phone and internet service.
I have never been driven as crazy by poor customer service and truly the most whacky plans.
Every customer service person i dealt with said something different from the one before.
I was even told by one of them that "the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing".
The confusion of the service plans seems almost intentional and the way that they are presented by the reps is just lunacy. It's as if they're speaking another language and unless you've been trained by the company there's no way to follow them .... at least i couldn't.
When it was time to pay a bill, i'd call them for clarity and just ended up more confused and frustrated.
I have a strong sense that they owe me money but i got to the point where i could no longer deal with the insanity and just let it go, paid my final bill and said goodbye to Qwest for good.

Default I'm happy with Qwest

I've had Qwest for internet (& phone) services since 2004. Have it at home and at our place of business. I was really surprised that they charge the same for internet at my office, as at home. It's very reasonable, and uploading speed is almost as fast as downloading speed.

Been pretty happy with customer service. One thing I did notice, is that a couple times, I was speaking with a tech support person in Manila (Philippines). They couldn't help me as well, so I just asked to be transferred to tech support in the US. Worked out just fine.

Hope that helps.
