They stay open, but it can be pretty cold in the winter.

Sometimes they close if there is a lot of snow. I have played in 55' degree weather in mid Jan. though, too.
Just depends on the particular Winter.

Boise's touted as one of the few places you can golf and ski in the same day.

Well, it does snow in Boise. I know because I have actually seen it snow there with my own two eyes. That may make it difficult to locate that little white ball on a snow-covered course. There are days when golf may prove to be a challenge.

Default Funny thread!

You guys are talking like Boise is not a place that gets much snow. Well, that is true...LATELY. I grew up in Eagle in the 70s and early 80s. I did not play golf after Thanksgiving or Before Valentine's Day. That was a time for building snowmen. Enjoy "year-round golf" in Boise while you can. It won't last. Then again, if it's a Global Warming thing, maybe 20 years from now we'll see palm trees on the Grove.

When it snows is when you use the bright orange golf balls.
It makes the deer think it's hunting season too
