Default Relocation to Boise

Hi, I just started researching Idaho for relocation purposes and was wondering about the bicycling system. Is it bicycle friendly? Haven't visited yet, but will soon. I am also interested in the weather, the parks, and good churches in the area........thanks!
Can anyone fill me in on jobs, and the general quality of life there! I would really like a place with lots of rivers/parks, and plenty of trees

Sillygal,

Yes, the bicycle system is "bicycle friendly". ; ) We have what's called the "GreenBelt" here, which is a paved walking/cycling path that follows the Boise River through the middle of the city and has stopping points in several of the parks. I don't know which church to recommend - I don't attend them. I can tell you that there is a large LDS population both here and in Utah. The weather has 4 definate (sp?) seasons, and changes often. If you enjoy bicycling, parks, jogging, hiking, trees, camping, etc. you will fit right in. Google for "Twilight Criterium". It's a cycle race that happens each year in downtown Boise. If you're moving, come quick. Housing prices are rising rapidly. Does that help?

You won't be doing much bike riding in the winter months. If you enjoy winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding, etc. you'll do great here. If you don't the winters will be long.
