Smile Salt Lake City vs Boise

Hi, I've been living in Salt Lake almost all my life and am curious as to what differences there are between Utah's capitol and Idaho's capitol. I already know that Salt Lake has lots more people and is more congested, but if anyone could go any deeper than that, it would be very appreciated

well by population Boise is larger.. (Boise: 200,000) (Salt Lake City: 179,000) although SLC has a larger metro area.. Boise is not that far behind, Boise is a new up and coming radid growth area Bosie has beautiful city parks with a scenic river running right through the city.. while SLC doesnt have any rivers, rather small creeks.. boise also has a front range as well as SLC but the Wasatch is better i must say quite impressive.. both cities have almost identical weather.. all in all both are nice cities with a few similarities

I lived in slc for over 27 years, grew up there, moved in '95 just before the olympic construction really kicked into full gear (yes I missed all of the interstate onramps closed off for construction thank goodness!) I go back to slc ever once in a while to visit, but I just wouldn't move back there. Meridian, ID, is my home...when I first moved here a cashier at the local albertsons remembered me and asked how I was..that never happened in slc when I was there! slc just gets more congested and alienating the more I visit (no offense to people who love slc) but it just doesn't have that same home vibe like it does here.
