Default John's Landing Neighborhood -Thoughts or opinions

I have another neighborhood questions for everyone: Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions, good or bad, on the John's Landing neighborhood off of Collister? It caught my eye because it appears to be an established area that is affordable and close to to the foothills and river. Has anyone ever lived in this area or have any insight into real estate prices or any thoughts in general?

Thanks in advance.

John's Landing is a good area. One of my client's parents live there and they seem to like it quite well, so much in fact they decided to update/remodel their home as opposed to moving. I get the impression from talking to them that many of their neighbors are original owners so they like the fact that most of the homes are owner occupied and not rentals.

Last time I checked, prices ranged anywhere from $175K to $250k. There hasn't been a lot of movement in that subdivision over the past year, I seem to remember under 10 homes had sold. You might be able to find some good deals especially if the occupant is the original owner....they will typically have more equity to work with as long as they haven't refinanced.....so depending on how quickly they want to move, you could get a pretty good bargain.
